About
Amy Meza Luraschi is an Artist and Educator from Buffalo, New York. She works primarily in photography and craft media. She has recently added window merchandizing to her experience, designing several windows for Zillycakes in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village.
Luraschi has an extensive background in Art education. Originally trained as an artist, she received her BFA from the University at Buffalo and did graduate work at the University of Illinois. She received her MAT in Interdisciplinary Art Education from Columbia College in Chicago in 2005.
Luraschi has worked as Lead Teaching Artist for CEPA Gallery’s education program and was the original teaching artist for Picturing Poetry, one of their signature Writing With Light programs. She has taught in various Buffalo and Chicago Public Schools, and served as adjunct faculty at Niagara University and the University at Buffalo.
Luraschi is currently teaching High School Studio Art and Photography in Buffalo, New York. Her goal is to empower her students through the Arts and help them nurture a unique voice to express themselves.
